Pine Island Reserve is located in Canberra's south on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River.

There is a playground for the kids, free electric barbecues, picnic tables and a picnic shelter. Ride your mountain bike or walk south to Point Hut. Take the longer and more scenic option northward to Kambah Pool. There are also some shorter walking loops through and around the reserve.

Pine Island is also one of the access points for the 27-kilometre Murrumbidgee Discovery Track.

Gates are closed to vehicles from 9pm to 8am during daylight saving time, and from 6pm to 8am at other times of the year.

No dogs allowed.
